In present-day conditions educational migration is one of the most intensively developing areas of scientific knowledge in migration topics. This type of migration is associated with education, skills development, internships and other forms of human capital accumulation. For many young people, the decision to get an education in a particular University or region determines their course of life in the future. In this regard, the study of school graduates’ intentions regarding the place of their supposed vocational education, their determining factors and features of implementation is important and relevant for the development of regional educational and employment policy. The purpose of the article is to analyze migration intentions and their implementation by the graduates of educational organizations in the context of the Vologda region. The article analyzes the region’s educational space from the point of view of the rural and urban districts’ provision with educational organizations (general, secondary and higher professional education). On the basis of the intentional analysis of migration behavior of comprehensive schools’ graduates, which is the scientific novelty of the study, the article identifies the students’ migration intentions and shows their practical implementation (“intention – real action”). Migration sentiments are analyzed in the context of city – village. The data of Rosstat and the results of sociological surveys conducted by the Vologda Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Vologda Institute of Education Development were used as an information base of the research. The prospects of the study involve conducting a further expanded survey of students in order to predict the level of educational migration reflexivity
