The purpose of the Journal is to present to wide public the results of Russian and foreign research into social space carried out in the framework of sociological and related sciences.
The Journal publishes original papers and reviews that devoted to the research of social space. Main topics are as follows: socio-economic research; demographic, socio-demographic, ethnic research; monitoring of the demographic situation; research on the cultural and spiritual life of society.
The Journal publishes papers of Russian and foreign scientists in Russian. Young researchers can publish their dissertation findings in the Journal as well.
The Journal’s target audience covers representatives of the scientific and expert community, university professors, graduate students, and master’s degree students who study problems of research findings in historical, social, political, economic, ethical and other contexts at the theoretical and empirical level. Materials published in the Journal contain factual information and put forward authors’ suggestions aimed to solve current issues of social space development; thus, they can be interesting and useful for state and municipal authorities, business representatives, journalists, economists, sociologists, as well as a wide range of readers, who are interested in investigations of social and human sciences.
